Things are greening up nicely following a few warm rains, and some of our earliest fruits are beginning to set. A little busy this week but I’ll be sure to add some shots in a comment a little later....
It is goddamn hilarious to me seeing people say they feel wary of people in masks/respirators in case they have covid and went out anyway.

¿Os podéis creer que tanto mi compa como E han bordeado cuidadosamente el amasijo y han desayunado con «eso» ahí, con tal de no recogerlo? Que vale que soy la persona de toda la casa a la que le afectan menos esas cosas, pero me estoy cansando del escaqueo. Tiempo que he tardado en recogerlo: menos de un minuto. Pues para ellos igual, digo yo.

I read something recently, a popular cognitive science book, that addressed exactly this.
Our need to belong to a group often overrides our capacity for rational evaluation of new information. When confronted with evidence that undermines the core beliefs of our group, a common and natural response is to dismiss the evidence as a way of maintaining the group, and demonstrating our loyalty.
Which helps explain why it's so hard to argue across divides, and even to acknowledge when we're wrong about something
@plantarum@seachanger Someone talked to me about this too. From an evolutionary perspective, we had to belong to a group to survive. So our brains tend to prioritize human connection over everything else, even truth/facts.

Anyone know of a line style animation on mapbox/maplibre for things that flow, like commodities, utilities, people, etc? think of like a pulsing heart and veins animation, but in a digital map and connected vector lines.
Just discovered on my new Android phone (OnePlus Nord 3 5G Lite) that there is a little button that appears in the nav drawer that, if you rotate your phone and you don't have auto rotate on, it will allow you to rotate the screen to that dimension and effectively stick to it until you rotate and press the same button to rotate back.
I sometimes need to rotate the phone to see content, but it's only appropriate at certain times. Not only that, but we've all had landscape photos which you try and turn the phone, only for the phone to rotate the landscape photo as well, thus making it impossible to see the photo.
I can't believe it's taken so long for such a simple piece of functionality to exist. Is it all Android phones, or just my OnePlus phone? 🤔
