The game is up to1200p30 not 4k. Who gives a shit what the output resolution is. They are doing the same on the s with upscaling 720-900p and that also outputs 4k.
So each playthrough will be different because the locations of minor settlements and facilities will be placed randomly for that playthrough? Interesting!
They mention layering in hand built content along with the procedural generation. It really all depends on how well they've done this. Hopefully, it's 20% like No Man's Sky and 80% Skyrim (because NMS got boring really fast).
Man I am conservatively hyped for this game. I know it's bethesda and they could pull something and fuck it up, but god does it look good. Sure theres a normal amount of bethesda jank, but it theres also just so much going on... It needs to be september already.
This quote though, "And we don't ever want to sacrifice that experience that makes our games feel really, really special. So it feels great." Oof. 30fps does NOT usually feel great, especially in a game where you have all these animations and everything.
Yeah, I just got off of Zelda TotK, which was 30fps, but they skip animations ALL the time to make the game feel super responsive. I HIGHLY doubt Starfield will do the same.
