tf is a bi-tơ, @xarvos? is that something eaten with rice?

Another excellent OSS EDA workshop: https://woset-workshop.github.io/

The WOSET workshop aims to galvanize the open-source EDA movement. The workshop will (virtually) bring together EDA researchers who are committed to open-source principles to share their experiences and coordinate efforts towards developing a reliable, fully open-source EDA flow.

The workshop is fully virtual so attendance is a no-brainer! Deadline for submissions is September 23

cnx,
@cnx@larkspur.one avatar

@thezoq2, is it possible to attend without using any proprietary software?

Welp, time to find another PeerTube instance, or just stream to Twitch (if I do streaming anytime).

cnx,
@cnx@larkspur.one avatar

@icedquinn, if it’s only for streaming, there’s also Owncast. TBH with PeerTube 6.1 transcoding no longer necessary so it’s quite possible to host at home as well. @captainepoch, you can set up Wireguard between your home compooter and a public one and reverse proxy it from there.

cnx,
@cnx@larkspur.one avatar

Yea, @captainepoch and @icedquinn, PeerTube does have hashtag-based recommendation but if you want to have hundreds of viewers you’ll need to advertise on fedi or sth idk. There’s no way to comment on Twitch without using their spyware so I guess using a Matrix (or IRC) room like @captainepoch used to would be nicer.

Do they have this specific brand and flavor of yogurt outside of Spain? I think it is basically Oikos Triple Zero, but this particular flavor is super good (it has little chunks of banana in it), and doesn’t compare to the banana cream flavor we have in the States.

@cnx@larkspur.one avatar

ikr @pganssle, still better than flying ever week to buy a hand of em banana do make it thyself (i refuse to understand how 0% fat yogurt or milk can ever be good tho)

@Ooze, you’re not supposed to see the alt text on images. It’s either the media, or its alternative textual representation. If you ever feel the need to do so it’s been misused and such text should have been put in the body instead.

Do you see my posts in Russian, when I reply to threads with 🔒 type?

P.S. In your timeline *

cnx,
@cnx@larkspur.one avatar

Yes, @abcdw, Pleroma and forks show replies in home timeline, and I’d rather people reply in either public or private scope instead of followers-only, which intrigues me but I can never see the whole thread :floofSad:

cnx,
@cnx@larkspur.one avatar

@abcdw, I meant if others who I don’t follow also reply as followers-only then I only see a portion of the convo.

How is the quality on Uniqlo clothes? Good?
I like clothes that don't disintegrate after two or three washes :FernDisgust3:

cnx,
@cnx@larkspur.one avatar

@xarvos, that would only account for the size, you can’t feel the fabric through the rectangle portal. Like @solidsanek I also prefer to always try on or at least touch the clothes before buying, but unlike @solidsanek I’m a proper cheese ambassador so I don’t eat salmon.

I also like uniqlo so far and have bought some baggy pants for biking (they have little laces to tie in the hems). The fabric is not top-tier, it’s comfy but not very soft so it’s a bit loud when I walk, nevertheless it should last alright. I like that they have buttons on the side of the waist so I needn’t have them tailored (nor use belts)

That being said, like all other general-purpose, uniqlo makes stuff in all kinds of fabrics, @xian, so I do really recommend you to shop where you can shop at a store you can visit instead. I suppose you can return these days but imagine working locally vs ssh over 300 ms round trip.

cnx,
@cnx@larkspur.one avatar

Hehe sry @xarvos, i thought you meant to use the size for other clothes at the same store but online. Why make it online tho, online shopping fucking sucks, they try to run their spyware on my compooter! Cc: @xian & @solidsanek

One of the most useful extensions for Firefox (actually LibreWolf) is Sidebery. Finally I can decrease a mess of tabs and make them structured.

There are a lot of features, but most useful are:

  • Rules for automatically moving tabs into "panels" (a grouping mechanism similiar to workspaces).
  • Foldeable tree view.
  • Rules for openning tabs in specific containers (combines well with container proxy and multi-account).
  • Integration with bookmarks.

Hi @roptat, I’m setting up gitile and notice its self-hosted homepage at https://git.lepiller.eu/gitile is currently down (gateway time-out).

cnx,

Slightly related, @roptat, may I have an eye on this patch disabling Git safe.directory for Gitile user so its Guix service works out of the box with Gitolite?

BTW how do I disable the nginx integration? I plan to use another machine for reverse proxy so it’s not necessary. I also made a patch updating Gitile’s nginx config field name in the doc.
