corsicanguppy, This is why the Russian belligerent attack on Ukraine started with a lot of staged “we want to secede and join Russia” votes. The UN hates a war but can be fooled into supporting the will “of a people” to secede.
And then that didn’t work. And so Russia needed to activate plan-b as planned.
