KyuubiNoKitsune,

The Nostradamus is legendary in the pursuit of FTL travel

KyuubiNoKitsune,

Pretty sure the studio I work at will have layoffs by the end of the year. Fuck Microsoft.

KyuubiNoKitsune,

Docker and the docker-compose yaml files. They’ll be invaluable. Compose files allows you to create custom networking and run multiple containers.

Super useful and what most people use to run simple docker workloads.

You don’t have to understand how to create containers, just understand how they work and the commands to use them effectively.

KyuubiNoKitsune,

IPad? From an even worse company? Linux all the way.

KyuubiNoKitsune,

I guess you’re right… Need a Linux distros like that so that can also change.

KyuubiNoKitsune,

I don’t know. I have a 7th gen i7 and it works fine, I want a new PC but can’t afford it, but even if I could I wouldn’t touch Win11 with a barge pole.

I fucking hate it. I don’t want to move to Linux. Probably just pirate the updates for the next 3 years and then deal with the security risk.

Need to petition the EU to shop this shit and force them to extend life due to the insane amount of e-waste it will cause.

KyuubiNoKitsune,

7 fruits not for dogs

For those who are wondering…

KyuubiNoKitsune,

I don’t think it was made by a Swedish speaker.

KyuubiNoKitsune,

Meal breaks and rest periods

You must have a meal break of 60 minutes after 5 hours’ work. A written agreement may lower this to 30 minutes and do away with the meal break if you work less than 6 hours a day. You must have a daily rest period of 12 continuous hours and a weekly rest period of 36 continuous hours. Unless otherwise agreed, this must include Sundays.

Sick Leave

You can take up to 6 weeks’ paid sick leave during a 36-month cycle.

During the first 6 months of starting at a company, you can take 1 day’s paid sick leave for every 26 days you’ve worked. An employer may want a medical certificate before paying you when you’re sick for more than 2 days at a time or more than twice in 8 weeks.

This is in South Africa… The US is fucked up and sets a bad example and precedent for the rest of the world. Corporate right wing America unfortunately seems to be a mind virus that’s spreading…

If you have the default nozzle for the Neptune 3, then I believe that the PTFE tube runs right down to the nozzle?

If so, that’s probably where the issue is coming from.

Get yourself a bi-metallic heat break and replace the stock one.

They’re cheap and easy to replace. The printers that I’ve had jamming issues with have been fixed by replacing the heat break with an all metal one.

You just have to lower your retraction to 2-3mm or it jams as well.

Looks like the Slice Engineering Copperhead C-E fits the Neptune 3

KyuubiNoKitsune,

Oh shit, sorry, I totally missed that. Then yeah, no idea.

Have you run a PID tune for a while? Like do a lot of cycles, about how long it usually takes to fail.

KyuubiNoKitsune,

Damn, having a body like any of those would be nice.

DS9 Episode - S2 E22 - The Wire (lemmy.ca)

I know many other seasoned Star Trek fans out there have probably experienced this one many times before. But I just watched this episode for the first time and the writing, acting and story just blew me away. So far it is by far one of my favourite scenes and episodes of the series so far. The dialogue between Bashir and Garak...

KyuubiNoKitsune,

DS9 quickly became my favorite Star Trek, the story is awesome and the character development is fun to see. It made me tear up more than once. I have the last ~6 episodes to watch still but I’m sad to let the series go, so I’ve been procrastinating about watching them.

KyuubiNoKitsune,

Yeeeeah, no enterprise admin would run that… GPOs would do the same with more transparency and no privacy concerns (besides running Windows of course)

KyuubiNoKitsune,

All I can think about is Dr Strangelove.

Well, they’re fighting hard against that commie plot and winning.

KyuubiNoKitsune,

Yeah, that was my conclusion as well, Myst was easy because the puzzles were limited in area, Riven was on another scale because it spanned multiple huge islands.

It would have flopped completely if released now, there were perks to having limited access to new games, instead of giving up when it was hard, I kept coming back because what else was I going to play.

Cant wait for the remake to see if I still remember everything. I think my mom might still have all my notes.

KyuubiNoKitsune,

Afraid I don’t know those

KyuubiNoKitsune,

We use zoom for work and I enable my video feed as a full panel like every other participant, only time it feels weird or gets annoying is when there’s only 1 other person on the call and our feeds sit side by side. I don’t like how I look and have anxiety, so I guess I use it to make sure that I don’t look weird or something.
