I was on a mission this morning, tasked with finding and buying a soft plush on behalf of my sister in law. She’s about to be a grandmother, again, and besides lamenting she isn’t old enough (which she isn’t) she needs something for this weekend. So, like the good sister in law I am, I volunteered. Any legitimate excuse to go play with plushies at one of my favourite toy stores, and you know I’m there.

@sylvia We watched lat night and, I have to say, between you, me and the door post, I wasn't overly enamoured. I loved the fight scenes. And the over all feel was as you expect from a Star Wars property, well fleshed out. But the characters? Not a fan.

I should have been having an ultra sound just about now, at a clinic just across the road from where I live. But, yesterday afternoon, I cancelled it. There were a couple of reasons, not least the fact I would not have been able to eat breakfast this morning (because of 12 hour fasting) which would have meant delaying taking my morning pills (which are taken with food).

@maique I can understand jobs like yours are stressful enough with all the early/late hours and travelling. So it's good to know you are at least working with someone who isn't a douche, and have friends to rely on too.

So I’m about to have a carb-crash as I just finished eating a very late lunch. Why am I eating lunch late? I’m so glad you asked. Because I had a late breakfast. But, I hear you ask, why did you have a late breakfast? I’m so glad you asked. Because I couldn’t eat first thing this morning as I had to see the nurse to do blood tests at 09:30 am. (I’m glad it wasn’t any later…)

Today, June 4th, is one of those historic days that while celebrated, is done so with a heavy heart. It’s a day I remember because members of my mother’s family lost their lives on the beaches of Normandy. It was always a sombre day for my parents, though my father for different reasons, as a military man nearly his entire adult life, he understood.

During my walkabout this weekend, I stopped in at the Musee National des Beaux Arts du Quebec—or, for those of us who speak English say, the Art Museum—for a morning cuppa. They have an amazing new pavilion, atrium, and cafe part of which you can wander around for free.

This is an interesting example of green nudging. The word "Vegan" does indeed carry a lot of baggage that some people shy away from. If you label the same “Vegan” product as “Plant Based”, there is often less resistance.
