You’re missing a critical step. If you call someone a partner, it means that you two are standing together, equal halves. So of course with everything you do, you need to ask yourself “how would I feel about doing this and how would my other half feel about me doing this?”. It sounds like you skipped that second part.

How to work with someone that regularly arrives as the wrong answer?

I work with a person that went presented with a problem, works through it and arrives at the wrong solution. When I have them show me the steps they took, it seems like they interpret things incorrectly. This isn’t a language barrier, and it’s not like they aren’t reading what someone wrote....

Let’s assume, though it’s silly, that death is inevitable in the scenario. A bear isn’t going to torture you or rape you. It’s a quick death. Can man guarantee me the same?

Making some weird race comparison is racist because someone’s race doesn’t dictate their maximum cruelty. However, their species does.

But if there were some religion where you only got into heaven by torturing people slowly, then your analogy would be apt. Those people on a whole would have a higher maximum cruelty.
