PrimeCuber is a Rubik’s cube solver built using a Lego Spike Prime kit. The mechanism to flip/hold the Rubik’s cube is really slick, using a single motor and a 5-bar linkage. The link includes a video showing the mechanism in action, as well as build instructions and downloadable code.
I'm not a submarine engineer, but I would have expected that some of the more complex systems would have failed before the pressure vessel. Then again, it seems like they chose a seemingly cost effective design that was apparently susceptible to fatigue. Combine that with a profit motive to dive as many times as possible before...
