Such a shame about this series. It was so good all the way through, and then the ending was… not. It wasn’t awful - it was just weak and unsatisfying and pointless. And this is just more of the same.
It’s like the author didn’t have the nerve to actually do anything with the ending. Instead it was just all this vague, wishy-washy stuff, with characters sort of maybe splitting up but sort of maybe getting together and sort of maybe changing but sort of maybe staying the same and so on.
For that, the author should’ve just given it a Bolivian Army ending a year ago instead of dragging it out and still not really finalizing anything.
I had completely forgotten that searching for this tome is why Charlotte joined our group. She fits in so naturally that it almost feels like she has always been here. Hopefully she sticks around.
Oh, so she can use the saint powers. I was expecting that to not be the case, and for Jelly to have to make her way forward as a saint using her monster abilities.
Jelly continues to have the best faces. I think my favorite this chapter was when she was eating the cookies. I was also glad to see Celestria come back.
An entirely SFW chapter! With actual character development? What the hell happened to this series?
I am glad that Kuzuhana seems to have found her confidence in front of Saotome and her friends. It was also great to see Inukai show off in front of the designer that she admires.
Now we just need to transition all this confidence the girls are feeling into motivation to make a move on Saotome.
Yeah, it was close to an attempt at least. Between the earplugs and the confession-ruining fireworks, I wouldn’t have expected it to work though. Just too many things working against Yutaka in this scenario.
I do think it is a promising sign that he has basically acknowledged his feelings and we are only at chapter 25.
This isn’t allowed, is it? Progress in my Akutsu-san? For as much as this series has tread water, this confession happened quite suddenly, and the cliffhanger from last chapter was almost immediately undone. Let’s hope that things go smoothly from here. The way it ends without seeing Akutsu’s response has me nervous that something is going to mess this up still.
Oh, Akutsu-san is definitely going to screw this up somehow. I also expect Ooya-san to be dead close by, with the characters for Ooyama-kun written in blood next to her!
I have enjoyed this one so far. Still early days, and I don’t yet know what the larger story might entail, but Aoi has been a fun MC and, despite being MTL, they have done a good job with the proofreading to make it comprehensible.
To be honest, I thought I had posted this chapter, but I just checked and I don’t see it in my post history. So, thanks for posting it!
