One of the big winners of the Unity debacle is the free and open source Godot Engine, which has seen its funding soar to a much more impressive level as Unity basically gave them free advertising.
Dwarf Fortress from Bay 12 Games and Kitfox Games has a fresh update available on Steam today, and this brings with it their official Native Linux support....
Factory building and automation sim Factorio has a fresh stable release out, continuing years of free upgrades and it now has gamepad controller support.
BattleBit Remastered is the current game climbing the ranks on Steam, made by a tiny team of only 3 people it has regularly seen tens of thousands of players. It works on Steam Deck and desktop Linux but the anti-cheat may turn into a big problem.
The true number of playable games is of course much higher, but this is still an impressive milestone....

While HDR support is still not really there yet on Linux, there’s a lot of movement on it now (and plenty of it thanks to Valve and work on Gamescope) but it seems KDE KWin may gain early initial support for it.

After it was leaked a bit too early, Valve have now confirmed and put up all three Steam Deck models to buy refurbished direct from the Steam store....
