There are some people won't touch anything to do with open source projects as they feel it might have issues with security. What does open source actually do for security or change how it works?

I wanted to restart my Obsidian Vault as it was getting to messed up as I never ordered anything. Finally started doing a Folder system so hopefully this helps in the long run.

So I have been using the Fediverse for some time, Started with Mastodon and Lemmy then moved to Kbin for a mix of both as well as features and have finally ended up on Mbin for the Bug Fixes....

I have found the European Graduate School to be the best source of free video lectures on Philosophy I have found. They of course slant towards Continental philosophy. You get in person lectures and sometimes lecture series from the contemporary greats from Slavoj Žižek, Derrida, Baudrillard, Butler, and many others....

So when I joined Kbin I knew I loved the merge of Microblogs and Threads allowing users to use two parts of the Fediverse at the same time. There are little parts of the Fediverse that I haven't seen added yet and wonder if there are possible plans for it....

So as the title says, I feel like I can't 100% leave Reddit till there is somewhat more community & content in the Fediverse alternative. At least 1 user needs to be subscribed to a magazine in order for it to receive federated updates, so keep that in mind after searching for a new magazine/community. I get subscribed to everything by default (hopefully Mbin will change this behavior in the future), so if it's not a magazine I want to see in my feed I will...

I personally have had a mix of Reddit, Twitter and Instagram over time but wasn't truly a part of the Social Media part before the Fediverse.

Scavengers Reign is beautiful, surreal, and compelling. I have only watched the first two episodes, but I am hooked. The way the organic world interacts woth the technological castaways has a really visceral feeling, like the world is simultaneously friendly and hostile to humanity....

Does anyone have a good source for digitized comics in bulk? I'm tired of paying the corpos for subscriptions and in a dreamworld I'd find the whole backlogs by publisher in decent resolution and format.
