I've recently purchased my first few Apple Devices (second hand) and have been looking at changing my current un-smart, smart home of using Google Devices over to Homekit, Luckily I have only done smart bulbs at the moment and is probably a good time to restart....
google gboard was able to autocorrect both o my languages without me needing to switch the language. wondering if there's a keyboard that's open source and can do the same. on open board rn
v1.4.1 is here to address some critical bugs that were discovered in v1.4.0 that may cause 500 errors and/or odd behavior under the right conditions...
I enjoy following space communities, a common mod management approach in those (on Reddit) is to create a pinned thread for events and herd all commentary into the pinned thread....
I just switched from ubo to adnaseam, and I'm wondering who's wallet is getting hurt by those ads "I" click? the ad company? does the site then make money? if the sites make money, can I choose where I click? I'd like to not give sites I don't agree with anything, but certain news sited I would...
So I like my Movies and TV Shows, but don't like owning the physical versions due to scratching and having to store the discs. Is it good to purchase all my movies and shows I watch on Apple TV / iTunes Movies?...
Is it actually worth creating a Tutorial Channel in 2024? I started a little channel to post little tutorials that my friends and family are keep on asking me to show them / do for them (I've done some of the tasks so many times)....
I was reading a TTRPG article and some of the things it said just made me think of a lot of HFY stories and with why nonhuman species/races are often written the way they are here, and how they are juxtaposed with humans to get a HFY effect. It might be stuff I might have known in the back of my head, but it feels different to...
Hi everyone, I saw a conversation on a certain magazine about the wording of kbin.run's terms of service. I'm not going to reply there because its unproductive and irrelevant to the conversation being discussed. I do; however, encourage everyone to (re)review the privacy policy and terms of service of the instance....
Im on a Dell G5 15 laptop with a 1660ti. I set my built in monitor to 125%, and that looks fine, but for some reason my second monitor seems to be zoomed in a bunch, even though that is still at 100% I kinda need my laptop screen zoomed in since its so small, any advice? Pop!_OS LTS, dont remember version, but says "most recent"
Running latest Pop!_OS on a Dell G5 5590 (i7 9th gen, 16Gb RAM, 1660ti mobile). Occasionally, I'll get a tear in the screen going from bot. left to up. right corner. I'm on latest driver as far as I can tell (Pop!_Shop shows both 470.199.02 and 545.29.06 as installed) any ideas? Tearing only happens on second monitor, not built...
I'm moving over to Mbin (hopefully ernest can sort kbin out, but until then), and id like to bring my subscriptions over without manually doing it. any methods? thanks
I have been creating a bot using Node and would love to have a cloud-based logging solution to store my logs (since Fly.io monitoring isn't the greatest and doesn't store logs more than ~100 at a time). So far, I've looked at:...
I've been exploring/enjoying Sencha. And I came across the idea of cold brewing. It seemed heretical at first, as I was used to precise temperature and time. I've found that I enjoy it very much. https://www.sugimotousa.com/blog/how-to-cold-brew-green-tea-and-why-you-should-do-it#sencha
I know I should probably get an external cooling setup of some kind, but I am also curious about cleaning the laptop and what sort of accessories I should get for that. For example:...
For example, if I (on kbin.run - which is Mbin, but for the purposes of this let's just assume it's Kbin) go to a random magazine on kbin.social, I will often see a prompt that the magazine may be incomplete and that I should visit the original instance for all the content....
This is the one thing keeping me from using Ecosia at this point. I use year filters a LOT as a programmer, and I really don't like how shady Brave generally is. However, even changing "freshness" to "year" in the URL just makes it get set to "any time", which is not ideal....
