#Cyprus: Uptempo pop song where the singer has a strong early Britney-vibe, clothes-wise. Sure, catchy song, but perhaps not a winner? Those backdrop effects are looking really good though.
#Serbia: A singer and a song that really badly WANTS to be Billie Eilish (preferably mixed with Loreen), but the song doesn't have the quality. My guess is that this is the last time we see Serbia in this year's contest.
#Lithuania : Here comes the untz-untz-untz!! Sadly, the refrain didn't have much else than the beat going for it, and some cool dancers and cool staging. Needed more of a melody, though.
#Ireland : One would THINK Ireland would send yet another flute-whisteling soft pop song with some blonde singer, but no! This year, let's welcome GOTH and scary staging! I can't even describe this. Goth, scary and weird. I'm sure some people love it?
#Ukraine : A country that I usually love in Eurovision, and 2024 is no different. Love the play with the Ukrainian colors yellow and blue. The refrain is quite catchy, the singer has a great voice - and then, a super cool female rapper aswell? Yep, I like this!
#Poland : I will never forget the milkmaids from 2014 (My Slowanie), but this year they bring something much more modern - white and black dancers representing chess (?), a singer in white and red and the pointiest shoulderpads I've ever seen?! And the song is a fun uptempo pop song. Not too bad?!
#Croatia : I never thought I would see a Baby lasagna perform at the stage, but rim tim taki dim, here he is! It's a bit like Finlands Käärijä paired with Linkin Park, clothed in some sort of native lace costume, and with a song that is extremely rock-catchy and might win the whole shebang.
#Iceland : Wonderful, WONDERFUL Hera Björk that we all love. I love that she brings a classic power-woman-disco-song in a goldy outfit with fringes. She has a great voice, the song is nice but perhaps too dated.
#Germany : Love the singer, he has a great voice... and the staging has a nice hotel lobby mixed with homelessness due to that barrel with fire? Oh, nevermind the barrel, there is fire everywhere... it feels like this song needs a few listens to really grow.
