Do you wear glasses or lenses? Why?

Let's get this started! Since this is the first entry, I thought it would be a good idea to start with something general:
Do you need glasses/lenses for your everyday life? And why is that?
For me it's currently glasses because of a strong astigmatism on both eyes. Came surprisingly in my early 20's.
