Somebody, somewhere mentioned small lenses, so I simply had to take a photo or two. 😅
Although I'll use whatever I have, I do prefer smaller lenses - it's easier to carry them around, they're unobtrusive and fun
I recently went to a new optician, McOptic. My contact lenses cost me a lot less there than at my previous opticians and I was satisfied with the quality of the service. I go for a sight test once a year and buy lenses for six months from the optician. I buy lenses and cleaning products for the other six months online, usually at discountlens.ch #switzerland#optician#lenses
Ok, no need for two film cameras, MZ-S can do a mid-roll change; I can live without 17mm ultra-wide and 100mm tele on a film - that's one camera and three lenses less, not a bad reduction!
Here's my setup for the next two days: Pentax MZ-S, 24/2.8 and 50/1.4; Canon 5Dmk2, 50/1.4, a compact 24-70mm and Mamiya 150/4 lenses. Kodak Ektachrome 320T and Ilford XP2 Super films. Should be enough and (almost) everything fits into a smallish bag, yay! #believeinfilm#gearporn#photography#cameras#lenses
For a while, it was actually not easy to get ultrawide rectilinear primes for Micro Four Thirds, but in the last 5-6 years or so, the Chinese lens makers have started adding a lot of options, lead by Laowa. Last year Panasonic finally released the 9mm f/1.7, a lens I've been calling out for a long time....
I’m going to cheat a bit for #SilentSunday#NaturePhotography because if you’ve ever been around harbor/spotted #seals, you know they are anything but quiet.
Photos taken earlier today at Point Arena, CA, US. Licensed under CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0 Intl.
But also! I took a few shots twice, with two #lenses. One is the lens we’re renting this week, a Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS. The other is the kit lens we got with the camera, a Sony E 55–210mm F4.5-6.3 OSS.
It was a suuuuuper windy day, which kept knocking me around. (Some of the blurriness is definitely down to unsteady hands.) But nature is messy, so I consider it a pretty realistic comparison.
Other than cropping, I haven't done any retouching, colors, etc.
Do you wear glasses or lenses? Why?
