Anyone want to adopt me in FFXIV? I never made it through all of shadowbringers because I got bored playing solo. Probably didn't help that I played WHM the whole time either.
Anyway, someone need a pocket healer? I just need a little training and support :3

no subscription fee and no gear treadmill, it's the only "live service" game i've ever played that actually feels like it respects my time. also there's a weirdly large fediverse community for it? which kind of kicks ass
@neatchee I can pitch in a little bit!! for $70 you will have gw2 and every major expansion (not the in-between chapters, called living world stories) and that gives you access to every piece of end-game content, forever. future end-game content you'll need to buy expansions for, but you can do that as they come out, and you don't even need to to continue to enjoy older content
@neatchee also i will warn you gw2 endgame plays like no other mmo, it's much more dynamic/movement-driven, and rolls are a lot more granular per-fight (there's not a tank role on every fight, and fights have specialty roles on an as-needed basis), and there's no GCD/a limited number of skills you can bring at any given time. it's very different
@neatchee okay bet i normally expect people coming from other MMOs to not really know what the fuck gw2 does with its endgame so i wanted to try to get out ahead of it lmao
@neatchee oh wait if you did some end-game content before you quit last time, you probably have Heart of thorns? and maybe path of fire? already? which would be hype
@pixel I've played lots of stuff. Mesmer and necro in gw2 structures pvp and wvw; everything in gw2 gvg; I lean towards support in general buy that's not as much a thing in gw2 as I recall heh
@neatchee dedicated healers are a thing in gw2 endgame! the "trinity" in guild wars 2 is dps, boon dps, and boon healers. which translates to dps, utility dps, and healer/tank/mechanics slut, basically. and both necro and mesmer have really excellent healer builds right now actually so you can play the classes you enjoyed in pvp as the role you enjoy!!
gw2 has more build diversity than like. any mmo i've ever seen. its kinda wild
@neatchee yeah, there's a handful of players that still clamor for that kind of meta but i think its really fucking lame. there's 27 elite specializations in the game right now (core classes with no elite specialization are generally quite bad, unfortunately), but among those 27 specs almost every single one has different viable and unique builds. it's REALLY cool
@neatchee you can join the CWLS (Frendedex) we set up if you’d be interested. I’ve been a little more solo than usual recently but there’s a lot of people and it’s easy to find someone to hang out or practice with no pressure
@aceattveg I think my problem right now is that because I burned out, I don't have the motivation to go back to it unless I know there is someone who can hand-hold me through the rest of what I need to get done before I'm ready to play endgame lol
@neatchee I can run something with you here and there but I usually just have barely enough time to get my daily stuff done before collapsing from exhaustion. Weekends are sometimes better on that front.
But yeah if you want to join that let me know, there’s a CWLS set up for each of the NA servers. I know some folks are always eager to do group content.
