🩺 📘 Recent research led by Jessica Drescher at Stanford University Graduate School of Education found an association between access to pediatric health care and academic success in young children.

They looked at 12,297 school districts across the U.S., and found that nearly 30% of districts had no pediatric physician, incl 49% of rural districts. Districts that had more physicians per child had higher academic test scores in 3rd grade.
