Reddit Migration

The site and the official app are so inaccessible that a sighted person had to flip the switch to make r/blind go dark.

Digg was my favorite website of all time, what people today can't experience is just how good the community was. I think that was due to the reputation system they used. A sufficiently advanced reputation system would fix a lot of problems with social media, with less censorship....

I just tried to look something up and the top result was a reddit thread and here I am making a post on kbin....

I know there are other ways, but this looks pretty easy. Any clear advice to avoid, or other concerns that folks know about?

I think the biggest thing we need to figure out is how to make it sound easier than people say it is. People get too hung up on the technicalities of how the fediverse works, and they never try it out and see that it isn't as confusing as it sounds. If we could write up a simple blurb to help promote kbin to subreddit moderators...

long time listener first time caller. been on reddit 15+, but the end is nigh. I have never used 3rd party apps.. always found the old, mostly-text layout completely sufficient for mobile browser use....

Just discovered this recent talk on the Fediverse, and I think it is very instructive! Very cool to see where it's come from, and where it's going....
