your photo made me "un-forget" the 1940s headset that came with the samr age submarine radio!

(the metal and leather portions combined for a unique smell that I'd instantly recognize, had I ever encountered it since)

• the ear cups were small, but made my heavy Koss PRO-4AA studio headphones seem like feathers

@HoustonDog I have one of those hooked up to that radio! Although lightweight, it hurts my ears!!
