jigmedatse, 21 days ago @jenbanim Not sure why, but I think it's because with more filters, it reduces airflow less, so it's preferable to build a box of filters.

jenbanim, 21 days ago @jigmedatse yeah it makes sense that you'd be able to filter air quicker with more filters. The fan could move more air for an equal amount of force I've personally had good luck with just one filter but I think this could work well for people with more space

AwoogaGeneral, 21 days ago @jenbanim I hope this year it stays as a PSA for only pockets of the country. Last year was rough in the Midwest. luckily I had several air purifiers from my time in Seattle. At the time I thought it was a waste to keep them around

jenbanim, 21 days ago @AwoogaGeneral fingers crossed but I'm honestly not too optimistic. Seems like things are getting worse pretty rapidly year-by-year

AwoogaGeneral, 21 days ago @jenbanim Yep. I just remember that year in the pacific northwest where we were like off the AQI scale it was so bad. I don’t remember any summer being worse in magnitude but it feels more constant and more spread out
