Not a huge surprise. Subway as a company sucks. I’ve heard horror stories from franchise owners when I worked there. Plus, I think John Oliver did an episode on them for how shitty the subway overlords are. Also come on, when it was $5 to get a footlong sub, I could wrap my head around it, but now the same sandwich is like $12.

I am complaining about the whole tying discounts to mobile apps as the problem, not mobile apps existing.

It's usually not slow unless I'm doing something stupid like trying to go to McDonalds at 3AM.

But it's still faster to order ahead so that by the time I get there I can just walk in, pick it up, and leave.

That’s true… Subway is fucking everywhere… In no small part due to the fact that they’ve historically been one of the least expensive franchises to start with.

They actually have more locations worldwide than McDonald’s or any other fast food restaurant.
