There's a consideration in French novel printing that's absent from English. While novels in English are driven by marketing and shelf presence in size, cover design, and other considerations, the French paperback is consistent between publishers. Actually pocket sized, printed on thin paper. Easy to carry, sits well in the hand while reading, and flops open and stays that way. @hryggrbyr isn't it? And it's just run of the mill, not a custom edition. It's a blockbuster I picked up in a Super U for €5. It makes reading it so much easier
