MeowKittyWow,

I used to ride as my commute. My current job is remote, so I try to do a “fake commute” and ride first thing in the morning or immediately after work. Then I do a longer ride on the weekend; again, first thing in the morning (I sunburn easily, so earlier or later helps beat the worst of the Sun a bit)

FnarFnar,

I try and make time where I can. I recently bought a Gravel bike (Ribble CGR Al 105, I love it).

I usually commute to work which is really short distance wise but 2 or 3 times I week I take a really long route home, 30 or 40km so I can go and have a blast that way.

Rodsterlings_cig,

Thats awesome, i like the idea of gravel bikes as commuters since you can ride them for long distances as well as put wider tires on them for comfort.

I ride 2-3 times during the weekdays, mostly during the mornings before I start work. I find that it gives me a boost of energy and motivation to get through the day.

I do longer rides on the weekends if my wife's schedule permits 🤣

AtomCreatorMusician,

Weekend mornings mostly, sometimes weekday afternoons. My weekday mornings are taken up by other forms of exercise. I'm trying to cycle more regularly as I used to do it a lot more and I miss going on long bike rides.

My absolute best days start with a ride.

Wake up 5:30 with a strong coffee, have a protein shake & banana, hit the bathroom, and I’m usually on the bike by 6:30

It’s so hard to fit everything in, though. I also run and train olympic weightlifting… and like to kayak when I can. Being an early morning person is the closest thing I have to a secret weapon.

knoland,

Here in NYC, all weekday rides are 5:30am - 7:30am before the park gets crowded.

Rodsterlings_cig,

Central park? How is biking in the big apple?

Buckle,

Most of the time if I ride it's in the morning. For me its the easiest and most reliable way to plan and execute before day starts. There is also this feeling of accomplishment after the ride and it feels great the rest of the day.

I run too, so the only way I was able to find the time for cycling was by making it my commute

Rodsterlings_cig,

Makes sense. Bike commuting definitely helps me break up the day. At one point i was cycling in the morning and then biking into work, thst wiped me out after a while.
