@grumble209 I mean, it's "mostly democrats" if you ignore the entire Trump administration and the republicans in SCOTUS, but that seems like a weird choice.
@grumble209 Not to mention the fact that when a dem gets caught being corrupt, the dems are the first to go after them, but when a republican is corrupt they circle the wagons and scream they're the victims of a witch hunt.
@grumble209 And if you want to include "undermining democracy", as in trying to prevent people from voting, gerrymandering, and everything else under that umbrella as 'corruption', which I would, then uh...Republicans are winning by a lightyear.
Just look at the all the republican officials who get caught voting multiple times.
@qkslvrwolf Weird that the Dem party never bankrolls challengers to corrupt Dem incumbents (Cuellar, Menendez) or their designated scapegoats (Manchin, Sinema). One could infer, rightfully, the Democratic Party wants power more than, well, democracy.
Political parties aren't mentioned in the Constitution. They are a cancer, selling policy to their donors and delivering tribalism to their voters.
Corruption is corruption, whether it's for fascists and religious zealots, or for "normal", mainstream billionaires. America deserves better. We can have better, if only we put aside partisan bullshit.

Political parties aren't a marriage, they're a bus. One of those buses is moving in the general directoin we want to go, and the other is driving into the middle of a saudi desert and lighting itself on fire.
Pretending "both sides" are the same is as culty as being a magat.
