The creators of SponsorBlock did it again, now we can crowdsource better titles and thumbnails as well. I just tried it with LinusTechTips who is a worst offender when it comes to clickbait and its really great....
The protest has never ended. We have been trying to communicate with Reddit admins, who seemed at first to be willing to talk to us, but we are only getting the silent treatment and threats to reopen the subreddit.
These are some of the apps that I use daily. Suggest yours and I will add it to the list....
I love the Infinity Reddit app (but gonna miss it).
I’m looking for recommendations for my Linux setup. But shattered pixel dungeon is amazing on android
I love Endless Sky, it's honestly one of my favorite games! I have a pack of cool SciFi art that I found on Nexus and I've been slowly replacing the stock photos for my personal game. I'm also a sucker for TeeWorlds, it is delightfully infuriating and hillarious to play. I know that's baby's first FOSS games but I'm new to open...
France arrested people for being private and using Linux...
A good site that helps me find great alternatives to non-oss that I have grown accustomed to.

Bulk Crap Uninstaller (or BCUninstaller) is a free (as in speech) program uninstaller. It excels at removing large amounts of applications with minimal user input. It can clean up leftovers, detect orphaned applications, run uninstallers according to premade lists, and much more! Even though BCU was made with IT pros in mind, by...
I didn’t know about this, but I haven’t used Audacity in a long time.
I use read-it-later services extensively to save any news I want to do blog posts about later, or something I want to look at in more detail when I have time (and three monitors)....
This is a very interesting article about the long-term sustainability of the Fediverse for moderators, administrators, and developers. We’ve already had two of our lovely Beehaw admins take breaks to take care of themselves as they experience the burnout associated with maintaining a community, and I think for a lot of use we...
Currently I’m looking for a Teamviewer replacement. I think Rustdesk looks very promising....
Edit: Updated the page with some cleanup and better navigation. It can now be filtered by OS and GUI/CLI....
I’m kind of tired of Google sending me to the same 3 sites whenever I search for something. If not the same 3 sites it’s 7 others that are so generic and boring I just feel they’re useless. It’s always makeuseof, androidauthority, or whatever other sites that have useful information but I rarely feel like they are saying...
We believe that any software should support fundamental digital freedoms. With the rise of cryptography and computer systems, it is now possible to guarantee these freedoms in the world of bits: privacy of thoughts, freedom of speech, right to authorship, and autonomy from software providers. These rights can be encoded into the...
Finally, to IBM, here’s a big idea for you. You say that you don’t want to pay all those RHEL developers? Here’s how you can save money: just pull from us. Become a downstream distributor of Oracle Linux. We will happily take on the burden.

Playing around with PeppermintOS on a "new " old laptop, and having fun. Its making me realize that tiny things can really work to impress. (Especially when you're waiting on a ram upgrade, haha!)...
