MyWoolyMastadon, 3 months ago @dnc I'd think you'd keep your plants too wet if you kept two inches of water at the bottom of the barrel. Stuff would die. If you are wanting a self watering pot you have to build in a wicking chamber. It'll keep the soil from getting too wet.
