Will dependency conflicts prevent updates?

I haven’t gotten an update in about a week which is strange for me. I’ve had this dependency conflict for a while:

<pre style="background-color:#ffffff;">
<span style="color:#323232;">WARNING: One or more updates/rebuilds have been skipped due to a dependency conflict:
</span><span style="color:#323232;">
</span><span style="color:#323232;">dev-python/docutils:0
</span><span style="color:#323232;">
</span><span style="color:#323232;">(dev-python/docutils-0.20.1:0/0::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) USE="" ABI_X86="(64)" PYTHON_TARGETS="python3_11 (-pypy3) -
</span><span style="color:#323232;">   python3_10 (-python3_12)" conflicts with
</span><span style="color:#323232;">  <dev-python/docutils-0.20[python_targets_python3_11(-)] required by (dev-python/sphinx-5.3.0:0/0::gentoo, installed) USE="-doc -
</span><span style="color:#323232;">   latex -test" ABI_X86="(64)" PYTHON_TARGETS="python3_11 (-pypy3) -python3_10"
</span>

Would that prevent me from getting updates? I’m able to install things just fine.

The_Hideous_Orgalorg,

That just says that dev-python/sphinx-5.3.0 requires dev-python/docutils-0.20.0, so it won’t update dev-python/docutils to 0.20.1. Other updates would be unaffected.

minorsecond,

Thanks. I thought so but I’ve never been good at parsing these messages.
