@sublinks why does demo.sublinks.org have links in its footer? Is it a Lemmy frontend but with a backend, or something? 👀

@badrihippo yes! We are currently using the Lemmy front end until we finish ours. We built a compatible api to fully support mobile apps built for Lemmy on Sublinks.

@sublinks makes sense! In the meantime, I guess the fact that you can directly plug in the Lemmy frontend and have it work is a good demonstration in itself 😉

@badrihippo I thought so. But it’s confusing people. We will have the new front end up in 2-4 weeks.

@sublinks hmm. Maybe a notice saying "Lemmy frontend, Sublinks backend" would help? At least for the more technical folks (like me)

@badrihippo It is listed there on the sidebar. haha

@sublinks oh whoops! I don't know how I missed that 😅

I think it might be because, as a developer, I automatically look at the website footer to figure out what it's running (that's when I don't open the source code) :html5:

Is there an easy way to change the footer text? A "Lemmy frontend, Sublinks backend" would explain all 🤔

Of course if you're anyway putting up a new frontend soon then maybe don't bother
