If the west ever turns against Isreal, which we should, prepare for the shocking revelation when Israel joins BRICS, and by “shocking” I mean “obvious”, and by “revelation” I mean “inevitability”.
MBS only cares about MBS, and he’s just fine with murdering his own citizens. So expecting this rush of philanthropic spirit from him is not terribly realistic. Israel is a fact, he and Bibi understand each other, and the Middle East is the Middle East–they were all plotting and scheming against each other long before Israel was a thing.
Peace is better than war, and this is a good thing, but the motives for it are, shall we say, Machiavellian. Now if only they had the Renaissance to go with it. Maybe later.
