There have been a LOT of crashed moon landers over the past few years. Why did Russia's Luna-25 fail, and why is it so HARD to land on the moon? And what do we think will happen to India's Chandrayaan-3 -- the Vikram lander is scheduled to attempt a landing tomorrow.

@skrishna

What if they sent astronauts, not to land on the moon, but to remote-control the robotic lander while it landed?

They'd be able to react quickly to stuff, but it wouldn't be as dangerous as having them land. Send a few cubesats out so they don't lose contact with each other.

helpstertee,

@skrishna back in the days we learned that the hard way

@skrishna I too would be pretty lost without GPS and a lot of communication.
