I’m a long time Lemmy lurker and occasional Redditor. Since the Reddit influx, I’ve watched the frequency of shitty Reddit-type behavior, e.g., combative comments, trolling, and unnecessary rudeness, just sky rocket....

Now hear me out because I’m not advocating for more hacking and it would be super annoying after a while.😅 But…...

I see a lot of posts on fediverse trashing reddit, Twitter, spez, musk and so on, and rightfully so. But like it or not, the mass majority of users on the internet still use these sites, and some of us still want to interact with the friends and communities we are a part of on those sites. And there's nothing wrong with that...

I see to many political memes and shitposts with the same formula “this opinion good other side opinion bad” (sometimes if you are lucky a “meme” will explain outright how the other side is bad) and people that agree with the “good” opinion lose there shit, not knowing the reason they find it funny is just because...

We’ve known for years that the owner is a lying, creepy, out of touch dipshit and that it’s a very flawed car and the company will cut costs to save money on safety items, every time....

One of the reasons is because I don’t play games that often but… It’s actually nice to play....

I am currently in North Carolina and while I will acknowledge it is hot, and the humidity doesn’t help, it isn’t particularly irritating. It’s like a hug from the air. This is my first old man opinion and I don’t care who knows it. The habits of sedentary lifestyle get formed early. Learning that physical activity can feel good, make you feel accomplished, and is worth it does not happen overnight. The sheer amount of kids I see getting carried around at 45 mph on a sidewalk meant for slower...

I’m seeing a lot of celebratory posts around in various communities regarding the explosive “growth” over the last couple days. Meanwhile, I’m seeing posts about the registration exploit, and how even just to test it out, the guy reporting it created tens of thousands of accounts on an instance in a matter of minutes....

I’ve noticed an overwhelming number of posts here glorifying the “good old days” and how Lemmy embodies that sense of community we all long for. But let’s be real: we don’t actually know each other, and that’s okay....

This literally solves all the csv and tsv parsing problems....

Would I hurt other people in some strange hypothetical to literally save my family’s life from certain death? Maybe, and I’d be guilt ridden about it for the rest of my life....
