Mulched beds, borders and (young) shrubs and trees. Exhausted now and all of our own #compost used up. Vegetable garden mulched a couple of weeks ago already. In all I had about ¾ of a cubic metre of compost. Not enough.
@artistsgarden There's never enough compost. I've just set up my two autumn piles - one for the food forest and the other for the vegetable garden. The latter will go into the potato containers completely and the old compost from last year's potatoes goes to the vegetable beds. Waiting for the day when I'll have enough compost for all the potatoes I wanna grow. Probably never gonna happen.
Fortunately for us the neighbors across the street have lots of trees and neatly bag all the leaves for the city to pick up. I'm going to grab them instead. Already got 20 or 30 large bags. This weekend I'm going to grab another 20.
@johntimaeus Yeah, it's similar here. We have collection points for the whole village. The neighbors drop their leaves. I take them out again to compost. I never lack any "browns". And leaves make such a good compost. @artistsgarden
