Wish I'd put more than just a cheeky fiver on that.

Still bugger. In fact, additional bugger.

I wouldn't say Bumrah has a classical bowling action.

Was Australia putting the all-conquering Indian batters in first a rope-a-dope move? As in .. crazy-brave?

(We won't know until Aus have batted of course)

What a weird innings...

Only one batsman that showed up, and more boundaries being scored by bowlers than the batters (other than Rohit).

The video highlights guy (or gal) is not going to be happy, but this bowling effort from #Australia from the 11th over onwards has been one, as they say, for the ages.

Only 3 overs from 32 (so far) have gone for more than 6 runs. Completely throttled the dangerous #India batting attack. Wonderfully disciplined line and length under extreme pressure.

For context, India's last 4 innings before today, all batting first:

397/4 (NZ)
410/4 (Netherlands)
326/5 (SAF)
356/8 (SL)

Having said all that, I'm not counting my chickens yet. Australia were not convincing chasing down 215 against SA, and the Indian attack on home soil is vastly superior.

And with the ball not coming onto the bat, Aus big hitters like Warner and Head could be vulnerable.

@GlenDownton Power Play 1, fielding, and dew.

If those go well for Australia, they'll likely win by 6-7 wickets.

OTOH it could be Siraj's day in PP1, and Jaddu's in overs 20-35. 🤞

@GlenDownton wise.

India is short by at least 40 runs for the conditions. At this stage, I give Australia 66% likelihood of winning.

@smurthys You are in solid agreement with Cricinfo's algorithm!
