I totally agree, but I find it a tedious point.

If I say America is evil, or America is racist and genocidal from it’s inception, people don’t rush to say “Well the American government is bad, and racists are bad, and voters who keep upholding white supremacy are bad, and America’s racist laws are bad, and the racist features in America’s founding documents are bad, and America is build on stolen land, and American imperialism is bad, and America’s long bloody history is bad, BUT let’s be clear that Americans are good. Also, many of Americas enemies are also bad.”

Most likely scenario is that they drive around in their trucks waving both flags of the US and flags of traitors to the US, block traffic, and post to Facebook.

Worst case scenario, there is a wave a of hate crimes as these hyped up fascists try to “defend America” by picking fights with any random brown person they see.

Best case scenario, they try messing with federal agents, get arrested, and wont be voting in November.

Smartphones are cool but they are fairly limited as far as the types of data that they can really take in. If you were putting together a kit of tools with existing technology to gather data for science and engineering which tools do you think would be most important? Here are my ideas....

Oh yes, AI image recognition absolutely gives me that tricorder vibe. I have a friend at my community garden with some apps like that and it is so much like an away mission when she quickly makes an ID and tells us what to do with that information.

No this article isn’t good. The author, Richard Lynn, is a self declared racist. I’m not even making an accusation, he has said that about himself.

IQ is a bullshit construct, and it especially was never designed for population level studies. His idea of genotypic IQ is then an added layer of quackery because there is no gene that he is testing for he is just assuming that you get the average of the IQ of your parents. That would be like assigning a “genotypic speed” to a baby based on the average 100 meter dash of its parents. Except that would be more scientific because the time of a 100 meter dash is at least measurable and real, unlike IQ.
