DarkThoughts,

You can use Google Lens instead of making photos.

DarkThoughts,

Does this count as bestiality watersports?

DarkThoughts,

I've been practicing this since... Forever.

PlayStation VR2 players can access games on PC with adapter starting on August 7 (blog.playstation.com)

When PlayStation VR2 launched last year, we were thrilled to introduce PS5 players to a new generation of VR games with innovative gameplay and immersive sensory features. Inspired by our passion to bring gamers even more content options, we’ve been working to enable access to additional games on PC, complementing the diverse...

DarkThoughts,

Sounds like it requires a Windows specific app unfortunately. Sony did add open Linux drivers for their gamepad so I guess there's a slim chance it might happen for the adapter too but I kinda doubt it, since VR is such a niche subject. And it seems like half of the important features don't even work on PC, including the eye tracking, which makes the price hard to justify either way.

DarkThoughts,

I'm not sure I'd want to potentially risk wasting hundreds of bucks on something that requires heavy tinkering, stops working or even generally fails to work from the beginning. I'm poor so those things are major investments that I have to save up to for quite some time, so I'd want to know that they'll work beforehand.

DarkThoughts,

Mint, which uses Cinnamon, or any KDE based distro. Since both desktop environments kinda have the same classic Windows layout & functionality that people would be used to.

As for games, it is mostly competitive pvp titles with their anticheat systems that don't work, which is purely on the developers of said games. If you're playing just regular multiplayer or singleplayer games then that's typically not a concern at all.

DarkThoughts,

The biggest joke is that the LLM in Windows is running locally, it uses your hardware and not some big external server farm. But you can bet your ass that they still use it to data harvest the shit out of you.

DarkThoughts,

Don't bother. That troll has the dumbest takes on other topics too.

DarkThoughts,

Technically you could have such data gathered and stored locally, without sending them to big corpo. Privacy friendly "AI" is very much possible, it's just not favorable to those companies because they see those models as a tool and the data as what ends up making them money.

DarkThoughts,

It started to really improve after I think the 3.5 update, before that it was indeed pretty bad regarding performance. The more recent updates also seems to have finally fixed a lot of the more common issues that I was running into.
But honestly, the grass is always greener on the other side. Tried Gnome recently again after many many years (pre Unity) and everything was just crashing or lacking very basic functions that I was using in my daily workflow with KDE. The only thing I liked were the smooth animations, but looking polished is not the only thing I need from a DE, especially when you rip out everything else to achieve it.

DarkThoughts,

Oh I agree. I typically put "AI" in quotation marks when using that term regarding LLMs, because to me they simply are not intelligent in anyway. In my mind an AI would need an actual level of consciousness of sorts, the ability to form actual thoughts and learn things freely based on whatever senses it has.
But AI is a term that's good for marketing as well as fear mongering, which we see a lot of in current news cycles and on social media. The problem is that most people do not even understand the basic principles of how LLMs work, which lead to a lot of misconceptions about its uses & misuses and what we should do about it.
Weirdly enough this makes LLMs both completely overhyped as a product and completely stigmatized as some nefarious tool as well. But I guess it fits into our today's societies that kinda seem to have lost all nuance and reason.

DarkThoughts,

I think they said a while ago that it won't be getting that unfortunately. It's a shame because the engine really would be perfect for full blown custom campaigns and whatnot, or even non linear open world modules.

DarkThoughts,

Possible. DnD as a whole is kinda held back majorly by all the licensing bullshit imo. Hasbro is missing out a lot due to their tight grip on it. Same with Magic.

DarkThoughts,

Ironically, the former is usually much more readable than the latter.

DarkThoughts,

I'm gonna swap the question around: Are native English speakers having an easier time reading this, than non-native speakers?

Personally, as a non-native speaker, I feel like having a stroke in trying to decipher it. It's like my brain sees regular words, but not the one it expects to follow on the previous ones.

DarkThoughts,

Did they finally fixed some of the 1 year old bugs?

DarkThoughts,

Loved the nub, but it also ruined touch pads for me.

DarkThoughts,

It's already hard for me because I personally prefer the US layout, while living in Germany, and most laptops seem to be only available with the German keyboard layouts. And Lenovo has kinda gone to shit after the Chinese takeover too.
I just wish the nub would be more common, and not just for business models.

DarkThoughts,

"Lock her up" was his fucking campaign slogan at the time.

I've decided to switch to Linux Mint, but i have a lot of pirated games. How to play them with all the cracks and stuff in linux?

I have decided to switch to Linux Mint from windows. I don’t use computer for work that much. And for my personal use I’m switching to Linux Mint. I have heard a lot about it. So giving it a try. I know about emulating windows in linux to play window games. But how do you use cracks and stuff?? Does emulating also access my...

DarkThoughts,

I just find the whole UI obtuse. Also too many dependencies if you're on KDE.

DarkThoughts, (edited )

Looked a bit clunky but I liked the friendly fire by the skeletons.
Definitely has some interesting concepts for sure and seems to be aimed at those who never finish the main quests in Bethesda games.

Edit: Ah, it's actually a Kickstarter campaign. Not sure if 40 bucks is something I'd want to shell out for it at this stage though...

DarkThoughts,

The fuck are you talking about? Who's shorts? What habits? Toilets? I literally never watched any shorts, the same way I never watched fucking TicTok. Are you projecting your own cancer consumption onto me?

DarkThoughts,

I kindly asked you to stop talking incoherent gibberish. You didn't. So here's your badge: 🤡

DarkThoughts,

It's very apparent for this entire comment chain that you don't know what you're saying. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
