Would Warframe players care about a cell biology game?

Sorry if this is off-topic but I want to get some input from the Warframe community on a hunch I have. I’ve been talking to the developers of a game about playing as a cellular organism and evolving into a complex creature - think Spore. And there’s this question about demographics, about whether this kind of game can appeal...

DroneRights,

Yes, you can repent directly to the lord, but most people can’t hear the lord and won’t get the benefits of therapy from it, they’ll only get the benefits of mindfulness. At a confessional everyone can get the benefits of amateur therapy.

DroneRights,

Actually, Columbus was 100% certain the earth was round. What he believed is that the earth was significantly smaller than the mathematicians said, and that he’d be able to sail straight to India from Portugal. He was greedy and wanted to establish new trade routes. Most of the governments of Europe said "No, you fucking idiot, the earth is as big as the mathematicians say it is, and you’re going to starve to death on your way to India. They would have been right had he not bumped into America by accident. Anyway, that’s why native Americans are Indians and why there’s such a thing as the west indes.

DroneRights,

No, the problem is that you don’t understand homonyms.

DroneRights,

They’re all Star Trek fans. Boimler is the fan who loves all of Trek but especially the weird stuff. Mariner is the fan who feels betrayed by the series’s turn into themes of war and hates DS9 and Picard. Tendi is the newer fan who comes from the violent and dramatic stuff like the movies, but prefers the intellectual stuff and feels ashamed of her background. Rutherford is the fan who’s enamoured with Star Trek’s themes of hope and redemption.

DroneRights,

Stamets is a transphobe who thinks force feminisation is representative of trans women.

DroneRights,

I’m not obsessed with him. You’re the one who brought him up. I want everyone to ignore the bastard. But if your adoration is so strong that you have to bring him up at random to drool over his transphobic ass, then his transphobia is what we’re talking about.

DroneRights,

If magic exists to eliminate all disabilities, then there should be no smart, rich people with disabilities in your world

I disagree. I know plenty of smart people with disabilities who wouldn’t take a cure if it was possible. Most of them are autistic. Autism is a disability in a world that doesn’t accommodate it, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s a disability politically, not intrinsically. And deafness is pretty undeniably a disability, but I’ve read about deaf people not wanting to join in on hearing society because they think the deaf community is better.

This might sound hard for you to understand if you’re fully abled, so I’ll put it in terms you can understand. Imagine if tomorrow scientists invented a cheap, painless procedure to install a third arm in your chest. Everyone’s getting them because they’re so useful, and clothing stores are quickly switching to shirts with three arm holes. It’s getting hard to find shirts with only two arm holes, in fact. Even if everyone you knew said they preferred having three arms, would you get one?

DroneRights,

I’m disabled and I wouldn’t. I don’t think I’d be me if I wasn’t autistic.

DroneRights,

Antitheism is colonial white people shit and it sucks

DroneRights,

You know that joke atheists tell Christians where they say “We both agree that most gods don’t exist, I just believe in one less than you. You and I aren’t so different.”? Well, that joke is more accurate than the atheists realise. The monotheism of the pre-roman Christians and Jews is very different to the monotheism of today.

Ancient Christians and Jews believed in the gods of every culture, but they only worshipped one. That’s how every culture treated foreign gods, back then. The Romans transformed the world forever when they used religion as a tool of cultural genocide through syncretism. As Roman polytheism was replaced by Roman Christianity, it became the custom to deny the gods of foreign religions. This was a new thing, back then.

Anyone who studies history knows that Europeans have been copying Rome ever since Rome fell. The colonisers of the new worlds copied Roman techniques of cultural genocide, by denying not just the power or worthiness of indigenous gods, but their very existence.

White modern atheism exists in the wasteland left in the wake of Christianity. The difference between a Christian coloniser and a white antitheist is one god. That’s insignificant. The antitheists are simply carrying on the traditions of Christianity, rather than attempting to actually move beyond a roman Christian worldview and learn from the way human thought worked before Christian genocide.

DroneRights,

My absurd worldview? I guess you think the Encyclopedia Brittanica is absurd too

www.britannica.com/summary/monotheism

The monotheism that characterizes Judaism began in ancient Israel with the adoption of Yahweh as the single object of worship and the rejection of the gods of other tribes and nations without, initially, denying their existence.

Oh, and Stanford

plato.stanford.edu/entries/monotheism/

Most mainstream Old Testament scholars believe that the religion of the early Israelites was neither monotheistic nor polytheistic but “monolatrous.” While the existence of other gods was not denied, Israel was to worship no god but Yahweh.

Maybe just read some encylopedias if you want to know more about the history of monotheism

DroneRights,

You should try reading instead of skimming

DroneRights,

Islam is a religion derived from and influenced by Christianity

DroneRights,

It’s simple: human beings don’t like learning. They don’t like thinking, and they especially don’t like thinking critically. They hate anything different and will find any excuse to fit it into the old ways or to deny its existence.

Trans women campaigned for decades to force people to learn. Drones have only just started. The only way we’re getting respect is if we force people to learn about us against their will.

DroneRights,

That’s okay, if you liked James Somerton’s videos, you can still watch the Alex Avila videos he stole his scripts from

DroneRights,

Harris Bomberguy makes very very long videos about games and politics. His newest video is 3 hours 50 minutes and he talked about plagiarism. He also THOROUGHLY ruined the reputations of a bunch of plagiarists, particularly James Somerton, a gay man who steals his video scripts from other gay people. Somerton is now gone from the internet, but none of his videos are, because they were all stolen

DroneRights,

Bro, the reason she doesn’t like you isn’t your height. It’s that you’re ashamed of your height. Insecurity and shame are turn-offs. You’d have better luck with women if you didn’t care about your height.

DroneRights,

Your SO should ask for cuddles from someone who supports gay rights imo.

DroneRights,

I am swarmgender.

DroneRights,

Maybe you should say that to whoever wrote the article you’re talking about

DroneRights,

Too bad, people are sexualising my gender because it’s hot.

DroneRights,

I’m aware of three works of media about being a drone.

Basic introduction: swarmgender.carrd.co

Someone interviewed one of us at: medium.com/…/interview-with-a-drone-bc5c226d63a0

A drone wrote a song about the social challenges of being a drone in a binary society at: soundcloud.com/ivysharkgrail/dont-make-me-choose

And apparently we’re on the nonbinary wiki now
