Clearly, the Biden Administration is making a point that this story come out now. Netanyahu’s “glorious war” cabinet has probably already calculated they have what they need. There’s not much of Gaza left to annihilate. I can’t escape the thought this Israeli government is executing a final solution.

A final solution to annihilate Palestine, đŸ‡”đŸ‡ž Palestinians, Gaza
 any/all remaining autonomy of a people in their homeland, forever in diaspora, or dead.

I wonder how many #hostages are crushed under Israeli bombardment along with Palestinians. There are many corpses in the rubble and tunnels.

There is reporting Hamas leaders believe they have already won, even if they don’t survive. Israel’s atrocities unforgettable. Forever branded in “genocide”, victims AND executioners.

It’s a shame Joe Biden can’t seem to see or speak to the complexity of the students position. It’s mostly anti-war, anti-annihilation-of-Gaza, anti-genocide. Yes, it’s mixed and fraught with massive agitprop and inflammatory incitement. With active and malicious influence by Putin, Pro-Israel PACs, and Iran proxies alike.

No.

I’ve said many times. I believe two self-serving and atrocity saturated realities can exist at the same time. Hamas are brutal anti-Israel terrorists who lashed out in the worst barbarity only humans can inflict. The Netanyahu far-right government has unleashed a “glorious war” of annihilation against Hamas, Palestinians, Gaza itself. Final solution? After decades of apartheid repression and taking of their land.

We’re in big trouble. Netanyahu’s government is in league with the world’s genocidal authoritarians. It makes little difference whether it’s implicit or explicit, useful idiots or active agents. Many active measures hope to precipitate and stoke violence in America. I hope protesters can be steadfastly peaceful.

Yes. “Glorious war”. However asymmetrical. With massive global influence operations layered on, raging. Obliteration vs embedded terrorists with hostages. Even now there will be generations of discovery about the autocracies in this war. Psychopathic brutality and hostage taking vs unprecedented civilian killing and infrastructure/societal decimation. Grenades vs 2000 pound bombs. Genocide all.

GaryRLundberg,
@GaryRLundberg@newsie.social avatar

@RememberUsAlways @FrankFrank @palestine @israel

War and genocide cohabit “glorious war”.

Good point about the forever history of siege in the land of Palestine and Israel. Of course empires have always had a heavy hand in that history. I suspect repression and genocide have also.

When you take it in context of Palestine being almost completely eliminated since 1948 you can’t help but think war + settler colonialism apartheid is a culprit.

GaryRLundberg,
@GaryRLundberg@newsie.social avatar

@RememberUsAlways @FrankFrank @palestine @israel

Yes. I was only framing the recent history of Israel since WWII. The most recent generations. Colonial genocide happens over generations or less, not millennia.

Even if all history and origin by indigenous occupation and religion are claimed as the heritage of a place does not validate slaughter inflicted today.

GaryRLundberg,
@GaryRLundberg@newsie.social avatar

@Scmurcott @RememberUsAlways @FrankFrank @palestine @israel

Yes. Many competing religion origin stories. Judaism, then Christianity, then Islam. Over ridden often by the empires of democratic republics, kings and pharaohs. Guess not a lot has changed?

My understanding is Zionism — a nationalist movement to live in their indigenous homeland — predates fascism. Immigration and settlement began after the failed Russian revolution in 1905.

GaryRLundberg,
@GaryRLundberg@newsie.social avatar

@FrankFrank @RememberUsAlways @palestine @israel

Propaganda; damed if you do, damned you don’t. Was/is there only one genocide?

“Whereas proponents of the singularity thesis regard the making of any comparisons as a blasphemous mockery of the Holocaust’s victims, its opponents raising an analogy to the accusation of Holocaust denial argue that the singularity thesis amounts to a denial of all other cases of genocide.”

It’s unfortunate, blaming and attacking “the other” is inherently the human animal’s means of “justice” it seems. Something “leaders” have always used to accumulate and wield power? I doubt we out grow it in our lifetimes.

GaryRLundberg,
@GaryRLundberg@newsie.social avatar

@RememberUsAlways @FrankFrank @palestine @israel

Yet, history includes just yesterday. Saturated in the life and death of today. So, I’m afraid bias travels across, through, and over time. Inherited and handed down. Replayed by new actors.

GaryRLundberg,
@GaryRLundberg@newsie.social avatar

@RememberUsAlways @FrankFrank @palestine @israel

Is it terrorists? Or, massive communications media that enables the reach of terror and divisive bias, implicit and explicit?

I think humanity is living a horrendous and dangerous time of limited ability to digest and understand all we are exposed to.

As for brutality, I think it’s always been inherent among us. Probably ebbs and flows. We always make it more mechanized and condensed though.

All his instincts and experience are being applied to his hostile takeover of America. He plans to own US. He already owns the Republican Party. Vote accordingly.
