Windows 10 EoL is fast approaching, so I thought I’d give Linux a try on some equipment that won’t be able to upgrade to Windows 11. I wanted to see if I will be able to recommend an option to anyone that asks me what they should do with their old PC....
M49, I tend to go a bit long between haircuts which is on me, but I seem to have a really hard time explaining that I want short hair, like 20mm / 3/4"...
The only barber that was ever able to cut my insane hair passed away after an unsuccessful liver transplant and it was at that point I purchased my own professional clippers.
Having bad haircuts my whole life until I found her is literally a point of trauma that I’ve not recovered from and I’m 49 years old now.
I figured a close stereotype for men, would be that they should all be farmers. The thing is, there are under two million farmers in the US as of 2023. So statistically, an equivalent occupation/role should have a larger number.
I do not like Jurassic Park. I have never liked Jurassic Park. It has great special effects and Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, but that does not make it a good movie. I don’t care if it made a billion dollars at the box office. I don’t care how many awards it won....
I have no idea, it was one of the most vapid, least memorable movies I’ve seen.
Edit: and I completely stayed out of the hype bubble for Avatar as well, completely avoiding all exposure to it unless completely inescapable. I finally watched the movie for the first time 6 months ago, I can honestly say it was among the worst pieces of shit I’ve seen in 10 years. And the CGI and overall design of the world was weak.
I just think at some point in my life, there is going to be a wonderful comedic opportunity to crush an apple and I should learn how or train now. e: Anybody else have any ridiculous goals right now?

On one I installed postmarketOS, one is still stock Android and one is lets say bricked (after installing lineagesos it stay on boot logo for ever, before that I installed lineageos and nethunter on it). One one disk encryption...

In the mid 90’s tattoos became super trendy and now have gained acceptance as something people do. My opinion is, especially when the tats are crawling up peoples’ necks and onto their faces that they truly look awful, like some sort of disease.
Would I get a tattoo, no? Do I like them on others? Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
I have never thought that they were particularly creative, if anything I always felt quite the opposite.
That feeling was confirmed when I was invited to a tattoo expo with a friend, there were perhaps 70 exhibitors, and all of them had the exact same or highly derivative trendy designs, and I think two of the exhibitors had unique art. That really said a lot to me.
When the API fiasco went down, I backed away from all the communities I created over a decade ago and just walked away from modding.
Now I go to not participating.
I hate Reddit, and I have fun memories at the same time. I was like the 50th sign up, I even emailed spez his own source code because he had his web server badly configured to report verbose errors.
