🏠Have you ever moved house?

Tear down is kind of like that, except it’s not all going to one place, some is time dependent, the truck’s turned up too early, and now it’s started raining. Also everything is muddy, can only be transported with a particular combo of people and vehicles, or has a visiting member of the local wildlife. HQ has a pigeon.

If you have any positive vibes for the tear down crew, leave them here and we’ll make sure they’re passed on this evening when they get a chance to read them.

@linuxlucy Oh, i'm definitely avoiding TESCREAL! The UK long now folks have quite a different ethos I think, I've had great convos about maintenance and care (v important to me after instigating maintain.community). @DanielRThomas yeah, I'd like to keep it going if possible... It's partly software stability (maybe a full wipe and restart) and partly the biometrics (fingerprint sensor not reliable any more). Still interested to understand the newer form factors

I’ve just identified why I have been feeling down over the past few days. Instead of being excited at the prospect of an election that will end the Tory misrule, I find myself just staring down the barrel of five years of Tory lite.
This country could be so much better than it is, if only we had a Government worthy of the populace.

For all of my complaining about the of kitchen appliances, my new Breville oven is actually astoundingly good.

Not only are the controls clear and easy to use but there are small little touches that are just very well thought out. For example when the timer gets close to zero the internal light turns on automatically.
