I’ve seen only few GIFs on Lemmy. Most of them are just links but I’ve see a handful that were actually animated within the apps (I forget which app it was maybe Memmy). Is there a reason for the lack of GiFs?

Hypothetically, they could implement some internal api and open Reddit to the fediverse no? What would happen then? (I’m sure they won’t because they want the money… but I’m just speculating…)

Auditory sensory overload

I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD, and I’ve noticed that I sometimes get sensory overload, when my kid (5, also neurodivergent) starts humming, or other loud conversations etc, I get physical pain from the sustain loud (or just high level) noise. I’ve been using my AirPod Pro with no music with just noise cancelling to help....

I’m having hard time finding names for the different lights that make sense when I ask my voice assistant to control. I end up with ceiling light, but I have more than one ceiling light, and saying Living room ceiling light is a mouthful. I tried giving funny names but I keep getting confused which is which.
