For simple browsing wefwef is nice and fast since it’s really lightweight. Otherwise Memmy has been my go to app.

Yes, the original dev for Mlem jumped ship right when things got real and shut down his TestFlight app. He also kept it secret from everyone and announced that the app would close in 3 days, that’s how the other devs learned it, by opening the app. It’s like texting a breakup. The old app is still valid for a few more days.

Wefwef is really nice. And it’s just a WebApp! Down side, no notifications with WebApps if I remember correctly)

Oh great news!

Believe the hype, y’all. @hariette and the team are building something special with @ArtemisApp. The alpha feels better than some finished products I’ve used recently. So much polish in every pixel of this thing.

Have you set your language option at the bottom of the mage?

LazaroFilm,
@LazaroFilm@lemmy.world avatar

Yes. Probably not that but I remember not seeing any posts and comments because I had the wrong language selected.

The new icône with the red nose is not my favorite one. I like the black/white one better

I was so bummed when I saw the new icon.

Overwriting Comments w/ AI Output Is the Quickest Way to Make Reddit's Data Useless to LLM Firms (arxiv.org)

A new study shows that LLM models that are fed too much content that was generated by LLMs eventually collapse. Essentially, text generated by AI is poison if it makes its way into an LLMs training data. If the model eats too much of this poison, the model dies. By replacing your Reddit comments with AI generated text, you can...

Unless in the Ai query you add a prompt to reply with completely false information while making it look plausible.

I mean that’s a Tuesday on Reddit lmao.

After 3000 hrs, the original extruder on the X1C finally gave out. RIP (lemmy.world)

Prints started to get all wonky about a week ago. I couldn't figure out the problem. Changed the nozzle, tighten the belts, lubed the z screws, and cleaned the carbon fiber rods. Disassembled the extruder and I didn't see any clogging, but when I disassembled the hall sensor, I noticed a lot of wear. Then I found a piece of...

Are you trying a 3ed party extruder or going with the official replacement?

    Wefwef for Lemmy. It’s a web app. You can add it to your phone’s home page and it essentially behaves as a regular app.

    Ha. They’re both imploded because of the relative vacuum inside and immense pressure from the outside.

    LazaroFilm,
    @LazaroFilm@lemmy.world avatar

    Well, they try to fuck ADHD neckbeard programmers with if() statement rules. It’s no different to debugging/hacking software. Except it’s more fun.

    LazaroFilm,
    @LazaroFilm@lemmy.world avatar

    I’m sure it’s just not implemented yet, but once the inbox item is read, there’s no way to see it again. The All button doesn’t work.

    LazaroFilm,
    @LazaroFilm@lemmy.world avatar

    No worries! The app is already amazing!

    LazaroFilm,

    Definitely some growing pains. The bandwidth attributed was not ready for the surge of people jumping ship in less than a week. It’s already much better. On the first days, just loading the landing page would take a handful of tries (each try also adding traffic and snowballing the issue)
