I actually screwed up twice on dev environment. Luckily the second case was salvageable without using data from an old backup(I wasn’t given one that time) and I managed to sweep it up fast.

I started testing my queries super carefully after the first incident, but I was too tired once that I forgot to restrict the update scope for testing and screwed up again.

I had to clean a child porn image once because some bastard registered at an instance I’m moderating and posted an anime child porn image to another instance using the account he created here. And I found a total of 5 copies of that image in the server…

Looking for user input for MonyetPanel, a web UI to schedule posts for your communities (gist.github.com)

Currently, I have to manually schedule the posts for communities based on mods’ requests, and I understand that this isn’t a good thing to sustain in the long run. Hence, I have made up my mind to create a UI for this feature instead so all community mods can schedule their own posts!...

Haha, thanks for the suggestion on the scheduler interval thingy. I forgot monthly threads could be a thing too, or even biweekly! I don’t think I’ll need that much customizations though, but I definitely realized a ‘disable/enable’ option was missing(users can delete but what if they still want to keep it?)

I’m not a huge fan of table/excel style UI haha, the company I’m working at uses that but it’s really not my style.

This literally happened in my meeting last week. Top position development manager was complaining the existing thing was shit. Basically means we have to build a new thing from scratch. And guess what? The deadline is 12 Sep.

If you think it was shit why did you let them do what they did in the past?

I’m lucky that I can reach the office by lrt in about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, my colleagues usually take an hour or longer… I don’t understand the need to be in offices all the time. Sure, having IRL interaction with your colleagues sometimes is good but it doesn’t need to be all the time.

Ah, I just remembered… I think it’s because I’m an admin and you can’t assign admins as community moderators. ;_;

I see… No one cares here and everyone just merges randomly. We have about 20 people working on one repo as well but a lot of times it’s the changes to the same file 😭

By the way, I’m sorry that I did not update the readme yet. We have recently made preparations to migrate to MySQL since the orm library we use has poor postgres support, so you will need to host a MySQL service now in order to use the bot. I have now updated the readme :)
