okay, to all survey website designers

if you have a survey where there are back and forward buttons on every page, creating the expectation of free navigation within the survey

and there is a certain point at which the survey gets irrevocably submitted instead of moving to the next page

you need to communicate that by making the forward button look fucking different

wait a second, i remember the debates about which terms best replace "whitelist" and "blacklist", and i don't remember seeing one which is as easy to say as "whitelist" (as for example "allowlist" is just a little more awkward and 3 syllables)

what about "passlist", or "throughlist"?

adding you to my passlist and the bad actor to my blocklist

also inlist and outlist could be good options, only issue is inlist sounds like "enlist"

Mark My Search's store page images are a time capsule from such a specific point in my life

well, specifically the first one and the video. I'd figured out I was enthusiastic about being an ally, so I made sure the most prominent sample image was about rights for queer people. the short demo video includes a search about the distinction between sexuality and gender. I was still very new to the area though, so the topics are a bit obviously generic. additionally, I was not yet aware I was trans (that goes without saying lol. am I trans now?) and I was not yet aware I was bi. all in all, the eggiest possible storefront I specifically could have created, and I'm rather loath to update it at this point ​:heart_pride:​
