PopShark,

This is mine as well, I like the price I like ControlD (the company’s other product) and I like that it’s not Nord or surfshark that’s good enough for me lol

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek surprised by how much laying off 1,500 employees negatively affected the streaming giant’s operations (fortune.com)

When Spotify announced its largest-ever round of layoffs in December, CEO Daniel Ek hailed a new age of efficiency at the streaming giant. But four months on, it seems he and his executives weren’t prepared for how tough filling in for 1,500 axed workers would be....

PopShark,

Yep the hallucinations issue happens even in GPT4, in my experience certain topics can bring about potential hallucinations more than others but if ChatGPT (even with GPT4 or whatever other advanced version of it) gets “stuck” on believing its hallucinations the only way to convince it is literally plainly stating the part that’s wrong and directing it to search Bing or the internet some other way specifically for that. Otherwise you just let out a sigh and start a new chat. If you spend too much time negotiating with it that wastes tokens anyway so the chat becomes bloated and it forgets stuff from earlier in the chat, not to mention technically you’re paying for being able to use the more advanced model anyway and yeah basically the more you treat the chat like a normal conversation the worse it is with AI. I guess that’s why “prompt engineering” was or is a thing, whether legitimate or not.

I did also importantly note that if you pay for credits with OpenAI to use their “playground” to create a specifically customized GPT4 adjusting temperature and response types it takes getting used to because it is WAY different than ChatGPT regardless of which version of GPT you have it set to. It actually kind of blew me away with how much better it “””understood””” software development but the issue is you kind of have to set up chats yourself it’s more complex and you pay per token so mistakes cost you. If it wasn’t such a pain and I had a specific use case I would definitely rather pay for OpenAI credits as needed than their bs “Plus” $20/month subscription for nerfed GPT4 as a chatbot.

PopShark,

I wonder if the wide margin is the AI trying to formulate logic and numbers in the story but it realizes it doesn’t know how many officers would be needed to shoot the earthquake since it would logically depends on the magnitude of the earthquake which the AI doesn’t know so it figures well alright tectonic plates are rather resistant to firearms discharge and other potential law enforcement tactics so it starts high at 50,000 but decides 1,000,000 is a reasonable cap as there just can’t be more than that many officers present in the state or country

PopShark,

I have a bit of an amateur headphone collection and my favorite way to listen to music is my trusty old Sennheiser hd650 (thanks to dankpods I now exclusively pronounce it huu duuh 650) headphones and either a desktop tube amp if I’m listening from my laptop or the equally trusty portable fiio a5 headphone amp for listening from my phone. It takes a usb-c to female 3.5mm adapter from my phone then a short 3.5mm male-male into the amp and standard 3.5mm output on the amp for plugging in the headphone. It is certainly not ergonomic or comfortable to carry around and hold the amp with my phone but if I’m playing like tidal master quality audio or even apple music’s high definition lossless the difference between this wired setup and even pricier bluetooth headphones is clear as far as fidelity. I stupidly got the apple airpods max a while back and I mean they’re fine they’re good but you can obviously tell where apple engineered around bluetooth limitations. Spatial audio (apple’s proprietary stereo surround tech) is nice to mimic a reasonable soundstage in them but my sennies with the big loud power hungry driver and open back design makes it sound natural and pair it with a high bitrate lossless song it always sounds better on them. I also have a pair of bluetooth capable ath-150s but always use them wired. Allegedly the airpods max supports full quality if you wire them to an iPhone using a particular cable that apple sells but like… lmao common

PopShark,

Oh yeah I had the same issue with those pads especially since I sweat a lot I ended up ordering some Chinesium brand off Amazon and the first pair had one that just refused to fit it was slightly incorrectly sized so Amazon sent a replacement they fit fine but yes unfortunately those pads get worn real quick and the official Sennheiser replacement ones are expensive even today

On an unrelated note if you happen to have any headphones you would suggest to add to my collection that are good in the same way those are let me know

PopShark,

At night this situation is even worse as the trucks headlights shine level with small car windows just right into the side mirrors and through the rear window into the rear view mirror. Without mirror dimming it is hell, rear views have auto or manual dimming but many cars don’t have any for side mirrors. And headlights nowadays are bright white LEDs and coincidentally huge on trucks because of course. Still don’t stop their drivers hitting pedestrians and stuff apparently either lol

PopShark,

Holy crap I just happened to keep the copy of the uYouPlus ipa file I was going to delete it since I use a resigned version that I used my old expired apple developer account to sign as totally my personal app and install via xcode to my iPhone and that way it doesn’t expire or have to be renewed like I guess most third party apps do… I only did it this way because the two other methods of installation didn’t work for me. But I kept the og ipa if I need to downgrade back to it which I did a week ago because the newest version of the app broke sponsorblock and a couple other minute things.

Anyway I have a copy of I think v19.02.1-3.0.1 ipa

PopShark,

Oh OK cool that’s good to know so they creators probably just took off the GitHub releases to comply with Google’s bullshit but anything on any other websites or any other repos is fair game

PopShark,

I literally picked up class 2 (dextroamphet tablets) yesterday it was sent electronically through the escribe system as it has been monthly since covid. Before covid it was paper only which being monthly is annoying for sure but they just kept the covid measure to allow those to be escribed. My doctor did say for those class 2s like vyvanse adderall etc she can’t call it in it has to be through the escribe system whereas regular prescription drugs can be called in, sent electronically, or paper etc.

Are regulators so delusional they believe forcing patients who already take controlled meds needing monthly doctor-ordered refills each time to switch back to the fucking paper would benefit anyone in any way. I take dextroamphetamine sulfate rather than adderall it’s similar but I prefer it less side effects but anyway it usually needs to be ordered and I call ahead of time as any doctors office will tell you to do so literally every month I would be driving to my doctors office to pick up the piece of paper then driving to the pharmacy to drop off the piece of paper and then possibly driving back home to wait another day or so until I can drive back to the pharmacy to actually pick up the medication or even if it’s in stock the pharmacy is perpetually busy so I sit and wait for the fill there. Anyway I’m rambling but yeah it’s fucking stupid

PopShark,

Yeah mine is sent electronically too. Sorry if I wasn’t clear I sorta rambled lol. I’ve taken adderall years ago and had to use paper prescription but since covid they changed it to electronic allowed. I hope that stays

PopShark,

A couple weeks ago I got a random call from an 866 number whose caller id was Apex Tactical, as in the body cam and weapon gear manufacturer. I don’t have any involvement in or make any purchases in anything remotely related to them and it was kind of wild they didn’t leave a voicemail and I kind of just assumed it was a spoofed spam call but then that begs the question wtf why pick that company to impersonate lol

PopShark,

They caught a credit card knife I had left in my wallet forgotten about and made me throw it out this was years ago and I have yet to get another credit card knife because it was a gift lol

PopShark,

Yeah it’s a small flat knife like a pocketknife like small flat swiss army but with only a knife attachment and it unfolds like oragami into a thin rectangle meant to fit in wallets’ card flaps or wherever else cards go but when using it you fold it up into a small knife blade and a handle for it I mean it’s like for tiny things like cutting packages open or whatever people use small swiss army knives for. If you seriously tried to use it even remotely violently or in a threatening manner at most you will give someone a small cut like a gnarly papercut and more likely you’d just be thrown in a loony bin lol but TSA has its rules God forbid I have that on me on the flight along with a large shampoo bottle and liquids brought from home that’s straight to jail

PopShark,

The one I had was tiny and flimsy I mean basically only for opening packages or cutting like paper and cardboard small stuff I imagine in the attempted attack you mentioned theirs was more beefy or something because mine was like a toy or souvenir literally it was corporate branded bs lol

PopShark,

The main theme song is awesome, it’s called Grand Theft Auto by Da Shootaz on streaming services. I had a PS1 disc version of the game from what I recall too which meant the song could be played by putting the game disc in a regular audio cd player.

PopShark,

Wait wait what collapse? I’m out of the loop

PopShark,

On that night they were all dancing queens

PopShark,

I’ll miss the only show of theirs I liked - Action Bronson Smokes Weed and watches ancient aliens with friends. It is the best background tv to any sesh besides cops reruns or family guy or whatever

PopShark,

The irony of it makes it kind of funny. So many episodes were filmed in places without legal weed so it’s a contrast to modern day where states legalized and private use wasn’t some sketchy sneaky stuff but just behaving normally lol

PopShark,

The old Kmart headquarters building that’s been abandoned rotting away as urban decay next to a fancy mall for since before the new millennium where the executives allegedly had cocaine parties in the 80s (which may have negatively affected the company’s outcome) is finally being professionally torn down by construction crewmen. It’s so fucking ugly beige reddish rust 80s office building its parts should be buried with humanity’s nuclear waste

PopShark,

As someone who drives a BMW sedan the people I see most neglecting to use indicators are pickup trucks and SUVs lol
