Naming things, whether it be periods in time or species, has always had a lot of disagreement. What this era we are now in is called isn't as important as the fact that we have changed the world so much it is/will leave a clear mark for millions of years to come. I prefer to call the leading transition period as the "fucked around" era, and the one we're now traveling in the "finding/found out" era.
His name would have been Yeshua (short form of Yehoshua), with the name translated first into Greek then into Latin and morphing into a form that became Jesus. Yeshua was also a common name. It's actually more complex than that, as language and words over time get very mangled.
As for evidence of a singular guy of any name doing this stuff, there isn't much at all that isn't connected to the Bible in a circular reasoning. Without Saul/Paul renewing (or creating) a faith about someone long gone in his lifetime, it would have likely ended there. There could have been many iconic figures doing things with followers that didn't jump the gap of history to become a permanent religion.
I'd be far more freaked out if they discovered not only a planet there, but with characteristics that resembled Vulcan. Fiction can get some things close to correct sometimes, but that would be disturbingly too close.
No surprise. They ended up agreeing that he was guilty of impeachable offenses too, but were okay with it and didn't want him to be kicked out or made non-electable because of them. "One of us", literally.

I don't think any judge wants to be the one who throws a Presidential Candidate in jail
The political backlash would be difficult, but a judge being able to state "in my courtroom no one, NO ONE, is above the law" would be a great career thing.
The amazing thing is how not only did a long lasting light bulb get designed early on, but that the later bulbs were designed to fail specifically after a given point (1000 hours). That's precision.
I also blame Edward Bernays, the father of consumerism/consumption.
I assume it would break into smaller particles similar to the formation of microplastics. I hear about the effects of microplastics all the time. Are the effects of disposed rubber on the environment studied as extensively?
It's part of the problem, but I don't think we've studied individual contributors as much as looked at the big picture. There was a study on plastics in general that has some citations of the statistics it gathers, and I ran across it in looking up specifically the rubber from tires, aka tire dust from wear and tear (which all vehicles have to some degree, even EVs, and is often a part of the argument of less cars rather than different cars). So about 1 millions tons of the annual contribution to plastics in the ocean is due to tire dust in runoff waters. Also keep in mind that like many large studies that take a while to put together, I think a lot of these statistics are old (around 2016). It's probably worse now.
Since he can still run for office and become president while in prison, is this actually going to do anything to stop him from being president? If it looks to potentially reduce Republican votes, then Republicans will just compensate by more effort trying to restrict certain demographics and areas from getting their vote in. They never have been supportive of everyone getting a chance to vote, it skews things towards the left. Anyone still remember when Karl Rove lost his mind on live TV because he knew what the numbers should have been had everything gone to plan, and liberals getting more votes was inconceivable to him.
The objective method is to put one of them in parentheses. But that removed the shock effect that they're going for with the second sentence. I don't really use Celsius and have to remind myself what's what, but I think it's pretty common to know that 100C is boiling water, and half of that is pretty bad.
It may depend on the rate they get to that point. Add in a dense energy source that's suddenly available and the rise of tech may be lethal. Perhaps the lucky ones don't have something like petroleum so their species matures long before they ruin their world.
I don't know about the end result under the same extremes. I do know that silicon life, while not impossible, it's probably unlikely. Silicon does parallel carbon in some ways including a similar location on the periodic chart (which is why it got attention from scifi writers), but the issue is simply silicon is nowhere near as "greedy" as carbon bonds.
I vote Picard for one main reason - we've seen him in far more different situations than any of the others thanks to the spread out period of TNG in series and movies. Other captains tend to have a more constrained image due to the plot they're in. Riker would be best second in command for the same reason.
If someone is taking a spot I'm going to default with the assumption that they need it for some reason. It's an honor code and you hope most using the spaces aren't abusing the privilege.

The problem is that the cost doesn't match the reward. I'd be totally fine with a 90/10 split for just a punch in the face. I'll be over the injury in a week with a lot more than I started with. Raise the cost to losing an arm or leg for a cut, then even 50/50 seems a bit low as the victim's life has changed but the other's hasn't.
I do agree with punching economists in the face more, just in principle.
I'm betting it's because remote voting makes voting when Democrats don't show up more difficult. Like in surprise unannounced votes. Why? Because that's the kind of things my Republican-heavy state government in NC pulls to try and get laws through that need a majority.
