I have put together a community guidelines document based on the feedback I have received. I think it captures the general viewpoint fairly well, but would like your feedback as to whether there is anything major that is unclear/wrong or even just bad grammar or spelling....

They are probably disturbed by the proximity of the cat!

I think there might be some sort of feature in some photo apps that turns pictures automatically that is not carrying over to here, as you are not the only one that has had sideways pics. I think the phone might be turning portrait pics on the screen for you, someone else re took a photo in landscape which fixed the problem.

Good morning everyone. I've arrived just in time for breakfast, perfect timing!

If you can't tell what the product is, the product is you.

It has often been a problem with artwork, both on social media sites and when you do things like enter competitions or use your own work to be printed on an item you are often giving away the rights. Now that AI is involved our words have also become more valuable to companies, even random passing conversations.

The subscriber counts here are a bit dodgy. I think it is only showing the subscribers on the instance you are in, not overall. I accidentally went to my other group from this account and thought it had dropped from about 200 subscribers to 3! It makes me wonder how many subsribers we actually have here, if the 358 showing is just people subscribed from this instance we may actually have quite a few more. Although I think the users/posts/comments counts are really more meaningful anyway.

I'd be a bit worries about the laundry blowing away. With some of the gusts out there the hard rubbish might blow away too!

I do love a good hard rubbish crawl. We have on demand pickups here, so don't get the concentrated collections anymore.

My guess is that's a large part of why they are making the changes - 3rd party apps are not really the target, it's just part of the process of how they plan to keep the material contained so they can sell it to media and large businesses.

My blue clamshell I bought for the dogs (that they refused to use) got taken by someone down the road. I was happy to see it had quite a few years of use before I saw it outside their place again.

I threw out some old curtains a few months ago, which mysteriously reappeared in an abandoned trolley dumped at a vacant house acrosss the road. Not so good, and I have wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what on earth was going on there.

I really have no idea. But I just got back from a walk and there are another two dumped trolleys there as well, it seems to be some sort of trolley staging area. There is another up the road, which is potentially still making its way there. Perhaps the curtains are a robe to designate the Trolley Monarch?

The closest stores with a trolley to me are 1.6km away, you have to cross a highway and then mostly push up hill to get here. Yet still they come.

I think I'll stick with my 2 day work week. Two 12 hour days, then two days off. Repeat. I'd rather less hours, but in the absence of that this works pretty well.

Instead of doing anything constructive I have been reading about the Aboriginal stories about Raven (AKA Crow). Known as Waa to the Wurundjeri People. Waa was originally a white bird, who stole coals/fire from seven sisters who were keeping it to themselves. He either dropped some or ended up throwing it at other animals who were wanting to have some too, which is how fire came to be used by mankind. In the process Waa started a bushfire in which he was burned, which is how he became black.
