A big thank you to the creators of & ! These hashtags are really beneficial for my creativity, and I'm incorporating bits and pieces in my WIPs - like the prompt about the MCs nighttime routine:

Knowing from experience that shooing the cat off the bed wouldn't help much and would only result in a few more scratches on his arms and hands, Maius finally climbed in alongside her. He wrestled enough of the blanket away from her that he could cover himself.

@sandralindsey Ooooh, I'm so glad to hear you've enjoyed Maius and Caomh's story! And OF COURSE, Dibblinius is a nod to Cut-me-own-throat Dibbler! 😄

I had originally planned to have two different sausage sellers: Dibblinius in Traiana and his cousin Dibblius in the vicus of Vetera, but unfortunately, I had to cut the Vetera bit.

@willaful @sandralindsey The cousin was my own invention (though, of course, I might have also read it in another story). The idea about Dibblius / Dibblinius came to me when I was doing research on Roman names from Traiana - apparently, creating a flowery version of a name by adding "inius" to it seems to have been A Thing in the area. And I wanted a dodgy sausage seller anyway, so I thought why not have two? 😄

@willaful @romancelandia I loved, loved, loved the animated series of Heaven Official's Blessing, so I got all the books and have started to read the novel. I adore the two MCs, but I'm bit on the fence about the style / text itself. I'm not quite sure whether that's due to the translation or whether the original text is really like that (stylistic breaks, characters using somewhat weird expressions that don't quite fit the setting / the story)

July 22: Does your MC cause drama or resolve it within their group of friends?

Maius is a quiet, sensible man. He is not one to cause drama.

(His best friend Damianus would like to disagree and point out that he got a number of grey hairs on one memorable occasion when Medicus Florius did indeed cause drama on a grand scale.)
