@Sablebadger 1st half was stout defense and the plague of 2024 on offense.

Second half they were more creative and fortunate in the attack, the defense started to crumble during the subs.

Likely they stole three points tonight. But streaking is fun and its the path back to respectability.

How are going to beat

  • By finding some creative force that can spring their own runners (Albert? PdlV? Probably not Raul)
  • Early verticality against the counter-press
  • Defensive maturity, as St. Lou can force deep turnovers

“He’s super motivated,” head coach Brian Schmetzer said, noting he nearly picked Kossa-Rienzi to start the recent match against Real Salt Lake. “He’s technically very clean, very good. His tactical acumen is also very good. We didn’t tell him to go inside every time, the timing was really good and his pass completion was exceptional.

“Everyone can see it. The question is if the guys upstairs can see it.”
