Searching for product recommendations has become harder and harder over the years. I used to google or browse reddit for reviews, used them to create a shortlist of products and then actually dig deeper and compare them....
Single door is nicer bc you only have to open one door, the french doors you often have to open both bc they are too small to get to things unless it’s in the door compartment. Opening or closing both doors with things in your hands gets old, and if you want to get into the meat drawer you have to open both sides fully then...

yo just got the new ipad so Id like to request that the tab bar be moved to the side instead of the bottom. The feed viewing and scrolling experience would be much better. Other than that, I must say that the iPad app is in pretty good shape already.
Edit: wouldnt complain about a little more padding on the left and right of the posts. Feels a little uncomfortably close to the edges atm.
Edit 2: youre probably already aware, but I’ll add it anyway, the feeds image and web preview container sizes are unnecessarily tall, and would ideally shrink to the size of the image. On iPad (especially in split screen or slide over), the minimum height can take up the entire height of the iPad, making the optimization obviously poor.
Edit 3: “fullscreen” images have a maximum width that makes opening up images for a closer look almost pointless
I am used to simple things running on Docker (Jellyfin, Nextcloud, etc.) I am looking at running my own personal Mastodon instance (maybe share it with a few friends and family), but I like using Docker. Looking at install guides, the steps required seem to be much harder than just editing docker-compose.yml and running the...
So if I wanted to host my own mastodon for friends and family but found the installation process too difficult, does that make this the best route forward for me?
Sorry to hijack — does Matrix have support for voice channels now? I know it has support for voice calls, but I’d like to just join a designated voice channel and allow other members to join as they please.
Tesla maintenance costs consist of washer fluid and tires, essentially. That “minimally computerized” car you’re talking about costs significantly more to maintain its ability to transport the same amount. I know because I also have experience with ICE cars and have seen my transportation budget get cut in half over the 5 years I’ve owned this Tesla. Automating routine tasks isn’t required, but it’s really really nice.
It’s 100% the car I’d choose to escape from in a fire emergency — there’s nothing wrong with the doors or handles, and there’s less risk of me dying by explosion because the fire has no gas tank to spread to.

Gifs not working on iPad
Maybe I’m missing a setting, but inline gifs don’t seem to work on the iPad version. Love the app overall, thanks for all your work!

Tournament discussion threads?
What does everyone think about having a discussion thread for each DGPT stop? Should it be one thread for the entire tournament or one for each round?
