Of course Microsoft is evil. All companies are amoral machines driven only by profit. All basic search engines become more useless by the day, while Windows enshitifies in every way possible. The natural trajectory of all companies is monopoly, weakening all supposed benefits of capitalism by design. Capitalism requires heavy government intervention to ever benefit the customer, and by removing that as a viable option, liberal democracy has signed its own death warrant.

This is why learning how to write/speak for your audience is so helpful. People literally perceive what they expect rather than what exists. If the ideas aren’t presented in the way they expect or are beyond the sort of ideas they’re used to dealing with, they’ll apply their preconceived notions of what they think you would say.

Even if you do make sense to someone with the right expertise or experience, people will apply their worldview to everything. Neurotypical people intuitively pick up on cultural ways of thinking and communicating, while autistic people have to consciously think about it more.

The most useful fixation of mine has been understanding how people think so I can speak to be understood. I’m probably better than average at talking to people with different worldviews as a result.

People can have trauma from their parents, but still reconcile and have a good relationship later on. It is unfortunate when people assume everyone wants to get away from their parents. I would like independence, but rent prices. My parents lived alongside their parents for a long time, and I have a far better relationship with them than they did.

I am always grateful for my parents and never take for granted how lucky I am. I had serious psychological debuffs at spawn and quite frankly wouldn’t be here if my parents didn’t care about their children above all else. Everyone deserves the love and assistance I got at a minimum. I don’t know how anyone thinks a world of such unequal opportunities could ever have a fair playing field.

Fandoms usually outgrow their characters and became more about the aesthetic, with the fanfic versions acting totally different than the original character. Sometimes they view their made up lore as more “canonical” than the source material. Considering the onceler came from a movie on the high end of mediocrity at best, the aesthetics and Tumblr emo boy version matters far more than the shortsighted capitalist character in the movie

Yes he was. He assumed that the philosopher would know best how to serve the people rather than the people themselves. He failed to acknowledge that all people must have their own personal drives beyond seeking wisdom, with it being impossible for the monarch to be unbiased and driven only by reason. Reason has no drive of its own, never acting outside of servicing more base needs. Most monarchs will favor their own short sighted and selfish desires over those of the city.

What if dysphoria was a big reason why Jean was such a miserable loser with no self confidence? What if she can more easily laugh at herself and her tacky fashion sense now? What if she starts wearing more than one outfit? What if Liz falls for her now that Jean actually feels alive? What if Garfield initially makes fun of Jean as she’s going through her egg phase, but at her darkest moment, he nudges her into accepting herself?

Could’ve been cosmic rays for all we know. Risk factors just don’t work like that. They’re a real collective cost that must be taken seriously, but deaths are often hard to individually attribute. That sort of threat is far more difficult for people to understand.
